Your kindness helps provide essential tools, adaptive technology and practical and emotional support for 193,000 New Zealanders who are blind, deafblind or low vision.
Every three hours, another Kiwi loses their vision. But thanks to your support, we can be there when they need us. Here are some of the things your kindness makes possible:
- Life skills — Thanks to you, people living with vision loss can get support to achieve independence. Essential stuff like cooking safely, getting around their community, using adaptive technology or support to go to university or get a job.
- Social and emotional support — People with vision loss can access peer support groups, recreational programmes, and individual counselling. Your donations help people feel heard, supported and connected.
- Mobility and independence — Guide dogs and white canes are some of the essential orientation and mobility tools Blind Low Vision NZ can provide, thanks to your support.
